Angiras Rishi is one of the mind born sons of Brahma – the
Hindu God of Creation. Angiras Rishi Jayanti is the birth anniversary of the
sage and it is observed on the fifth day (Pancham Tithi) during the Shukla
Paksha or waxing phase of moon in the Bhadrapada month (August – September).
Angiras Rishi Jayanti 2024 date is September 8.
Spiritual organizations and ashrams observe special pujas
and rituals on the day.
It is said in the scriptures that Angiras Rishi had attained
the statues of Agni through tapas or austerities.
