Yanaka Narasimha is a very rare form of the Narasimha Avatar
of Vishnu. In this form the Narasimha murti sits on the shoulders of Garuda,
the king of the birds and vehicle or Vahana of Vishnu. In some descriptions
Yanaka Narasimha murti rests or upon Adisesha, the serpent king on whom Vishnu
rests in the milky ocean.
This form has four arms and carries Shankah and Chakra in
two arms. Over the head of the murti, Adisesha forms a canopy with his five
heads. The body of the figure is covered with ornaments.

Sculptures and murtis of Yanaka Narasimha are very rare. It
is believed that there is sculpture of it in Hampi in Karnataka in India .
