Varaha Temple in Mysore - Shweta Varahaswamy Temple in Mysore

Varaha Temple in Mysore is unique as the murti of Varaha that is worshiped in the temple is white in color. Shweta Varahaswamy Temple is built in Hoshyala Style of architecture. Shweta Varahaswamy is carved from a single white stone.


The temple is located inside Mysore Palace complex. The temple has a gopuram similar to most South Indian temples.

Shweta Varahaswamy temple complex also has separate shrines dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, Ranganatha, Ganesh and Hanuman.

The temple is also noted for its mural paintings based on Ramayana and childhood leelas of Sri Krishna.
