Tulmul Yatra 2024 Date

Tulmul Yatra is observed in the Jyeshta month as per traditional Hindu calendar followed in Jammu and Kashmir. Tulmul Yatra 2024 date is June 14. It is observed on the Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha Ashtami or on the 8th day during the waxing phase of moon. This annual festival is dedicated to Mata Khir Bhawani at Tulla Mulla.

The yatra is popularly known as Khir Bhawani Mela.

Tulmul Yatra celebrates the discovery of the holy spring which changes its color. For some the festival celebrates the arrival of Mata Ragyana (Khir Bhawani) to the valley.

This festival dedicated to Goddess Khir Bhawani attracts people from all over India.
