Tripura Chaturthi – Shloka Chaturthi Of Hindus In Kashmir

Tripura Chaturthi, also known as Shloka Chaturthi and Shruka Tsoram, is observed on the fourth day of the Shukla Paksha, or waxing phase of moon, of Magh Month. Tripura Chaturthi 2026 date is  January 22. The day is of great importance to Hindus in Kashmir.


Mother Goddess is worshipped in the Tripura Sundari form on the day.

Young children are taught Sanskrit shloka for the first time by Kashmiri Pandits on the day and therefore the day is known as Shloka Chaturthi.
