Kasumba Sashti is observed in the month of Ashada (June – July). Kasumba Sashti 2023 date is June 24. The day is of significance to certain Hindu communities and is observed on the sixth day of the Shukla Paksha of Ashada month.
The rituals on this day are associated with Kasubha plant.
Red color is of great significance on the day. It also marks the beginning of monsoon in some areas.
