Kumbha Masam 2026 – Malayalam Kumbham Month in 2026

Kumbha Masam, or Kumbham, is the seventh month in a traditional Malayalam calendar followed in Kerala. Kumbha Masam in 2026 begins on February 13, 2026 and ends on March 13, 2026. Auspicious days in the month include Attukal Pongala, Sri Ramakrishna Jayanti, Thirunavaya Ekadasi, Kumbha Bharani, Chottanikara Makam and Thiruvilwamala Ekadasi.

Mahashivratri is on February 15.

The month is of great significance in Bhagavathy Temples in South Kerala. Temple festivals are held in this month. Festivals in all most all the important temples are held during the period.

Full Moon and No Moon Day
  • Karutha Vavu or Amavasya – February 17
  • Velutha Vavu or full moon day (Purnima) – March 3
Ekadasi fasting dates - February 13 and February 27

Pradosham Fasting is on February 14 and March 1
