Salagramam Ashram at Trivandrum – A Place to Research, Learn and Explore Sanatana Dharma

Salagramam Ashram at Trivandrum in Kerala, found by Swami Sandeep Chaitanya of the School of Bhagavad Gita Trust, aims to help all those who want to learn about Sanatana Dharma by being faithful to the original teachings with the help of traditional and modern learning tools. Salagramam Ashram is located on the banks of the Karamana River at Kundamonkadavu in Trivandrum and will be opened to the public on September 9, 2009.

An important aspect of the Salagramam Ashram is the emphasis on environmental protection and the numerous projects to protect and spread awareness about environment.

The ashram has various facilities, including guest rooms, dormitories, meditation hall, learning facilities for the young and old, classrooms with audio-visual equipment, dining hall, conference hall, bookshop, ‘koothambalam’, studio and a theater equipped with state-of-the art technology.

Thakshasila Library Complex of the ashram will serve students, teachers, researchers and practitioners and common man interested in Sanatana Dharma.

Specially designed weekend camps will be held for children in the age group of 5 to 16 at the ashram. Students will be given lessons on the significance of food, water and environment, apart from Vedas and Upanishads. People from diverse sections of the society will address the students.

The ashram will offer necessary facilities to people for conducting research on spirituality and related topics.
