Sri Srinivasa Kalyanotsavam, the celestial wedding ritual at Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Temple, will be performed at New Delhi by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The divine wedding of Lord Balaji and his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi is one of the most famous rituals at the Tirupati Temple. Srivari Kalyanam is now being organized in different cities around India for pilgrims who are unable to travel to Tirupati. In Delhi, the celestial wedding ritual will be held on March 21, 2009.
The idols of Lord Balaji and Goddess Padmavati will be brought to Delhi in a special chariot of the celestial wedding.
