Telugu Ashada Month 2016 – Ashad Masa 2016 in Telugu Calendar in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Ashada Masa is the fourth month in a traditional Hindu Telugu calendar followed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Ashada Masa 2016 is from July 5 to August 2.  Some of the auspicious days in the month include Guru Purnima, the beginning of Chatur Mas Vrata and Shayani Ekadasi.

Telugu Ashada Masa Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha
Ashada Masam Telugu calendar 2016 Shukla Paksha (Waxing phase of moon) is from July 5 to July 19, 2016.
Telugu Ashada Masam 2016 Krishna Paksha (Waning phase of moon) is from July 20 to August 2, 2016.

Ekadasi Fasting Dates in Ashada Masa are:
Dev Shayani Ekadasi – July 15
Kamika Ekadasi – July 30

Pradosh – July 17
Pradosh –  July 31

Sankashti Chaturthi monthly fasting dedicated to Lord Ganesh is in Ashada Mahina is on July 23 – Moonrise is at 9:30 PM – Indian standard time.

Purnima in Telugu Ashada Masa
Ashada Purnima or Full moon day is on July 19, 2016. The Purnima Vrat is marked on July 19.
The Purnima begins at  on July 18 and ends at  on July 19. Vyasa and Guru Purnima Vrat are observed on July 19, 2016.

Amavasi in Telugu Ashada Masa
Ashad Amavasya or No moon day is on August 2, 2016. The Amavasi begins at   on August 1, 2016 and ends at on August 2, 2016.

The dates of important festivals and auspicious days in Telugu Ashada Masam are:
Chatur Mas Vrata begins – July 15
Go Padma Vrata begins – July 15
Chukkala Amavasi and Gauri Vratam – August  2
