There is a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse, Chandra Grahan, on February 09, 2009. The Eclipse will be visible in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. The eclipse will be visible at moonrise in Gulf countries, along the western coast of India and Eastern Europe. In Australia and New Zealand the lunar eclipse will begin on the midnight of February 09, 2009 and end early morning of February 10, 2009. The eclipse will be visible at moon setting along the pacific coast of United States of America. It is not visible along the Atlantic Coast.

In penumbral eclipse on February 9, 2009, there will be a partial shadow of earth on the moon. It is a sort of partial eclipse.

In Italy it is from 13:39 to 17:38. In most of Europe it is at moonrise and therefore it will not be visible.
In Qatar it is from 15:39 to 19:38.

Can you say what is the grahan time on this 31st at Bologna, Italy so that we can move out from our home to 31st party.
The time in Italy is from 19:53 to 20:53 on December 31, 2010 - there is nothing to worry it is only a partial eclipse.

The time in Melbourne is from 4:53 to 5:53 on the morning of January 1, 2010. It is partial and not fully visible so you don't need to worry about it.
In USA from Minneapolis, MN. What are the grahanam timings to be followed and date, as there is some confusion if grahanam is in USA or not. I am pregnant woman and need more information on precautions to be taken.
According to NASA, there is no eclipse taking place in United States on December 31, 2009 or January 1, 2010. This includes Minneapolis. The next partial lunar eclipse in your region is on January 26, 2010 and the visibility is very very low.
