The 17th century Mewar Ramayana Paintings is one of the most beautiful manuscripts in the world. The book was split between India and England. Now the book the British Library and CSMVS Museum in Mumbai has reunited the book digitally. You can view the digital book online for free.
Mewar Ramayana paintings were created by several artists, whose exquisite and intricate paintings of gods, battles, landscapes and animals are among the finest examples of Indian art. Alongside the illustrations are over 800 pages of text in Sanskrit.
