Ayilyam Nakshatra in Kanni Masam is of great
significance at Puthukulam Nagaraja Temple. On this day special rituals and
pujas are held at the temple dedicated to Nagaraja and Nagayakshi. The shrine
is located near Thodupuzha in Kerala. Puthukulam Nagaraja Temple Ayilyam
festival 2024 is on September 28.
The offering made on the day include Noorum Palum and
Kadalipazham.
It is considered highly meritorious to offer prayers to
Nagas or Snakes on the day. It is believed that people get relief from Naga
Doshas.
