Kulswamini Yatra at Ansur in Vengurla Taluka of Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra

Kulswamini Yatra is organized in Phalgun month. It is the annual festival and fair held at the Kulswamini Temple in Ansur in Vengurla Taluka of Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra. Ansur Kulswamini Yatra 2018 date is February 21.

Kulswamini Temple is dedicated to Mother Goddess Shakti. Kulswamini  Devi, an incarnation of Goddess Shakti, is worshipped mainly in coastal Maharashtra.

Rituals associated with Goddess Durga are performed during the yatra.

The temple is decorated for the occasion with leaves, flowers, lamps, lights and plants.

Kulswamini Yatra at Ansur is observed on Phalgun Shukla Paksha Sashti Tithi or the sixth day during the waxing phase of moon Phalgun month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
