Ganpatipule Yatra in Magh Month in Maharashtra

Ganpatipule Yatra is annually organized on Ganesh Jayanti day in Magh Month in Maharashtra. It is the fair and festival at Ganpati Temple at Ganpatipule. It is observed on the Shukla Paksha Chaturthi day in the Magh month as per traditional Marathi lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra. Ganpatipule Yatra 2018 date is January 21.

The murti of Lord Ganesh worshipped here is Swayambhu – one that occurred naturally. The temple is at the base of a hill and faces west.

Hundreds of people participate in the annual yatra.

The shrine is traditionally decorated during the period with leaves and lights.

Ganpatipule is located in Ratnagiri District. The shrine is located around 26 km from Ratnagiri town.
