Advice From Bhagavad Purana



For one who regularly attends teachings of Krishna and renders service like the pure devotee, all that is troublesome to the heart is almost completely destroyed. (1.2.18)

As soon as irrevocable loving service is established in the heart, the effects of nature’s modes of passion and ignorance, such as lust, desire and hankering, disappear from the heart. Then the devotee is established in goodness and he becomes completely happy (1.2.19)

A human being who identifies this body made of three elements with his self and who goes to a place of pilgrimage simply to take a bath rather than meet men of transcendental knowledge there, is to be considered like an ass. (10.84.13)


If you simply pour water on the root of a tree, all the branches, twigs, leaves and flowers will be nourished. Similarly, everyone can be satisfied simply by Krishna worship. (4.31.14)
