Mahalakshmi Kalasha Sthapana is a month long ritual dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and is observed in the Shravana Masa or Shravan month by certain Hindu communities in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. In 2024, Mahalakshmi Kalasha Sthapana begins on August 4 and ends on September 3. The ritual begins in Sravana Masam and ends in Bhadrapada Masa.

It begins on the Shukla Paksha Ashtami or the eighth day during the waxing phase of moon in Shravana Masa and ends on the Shukla Paksha Ashtami or the eighth day during the waxing phase of moon in Bhadrapada Masa.

During the month long ritual a Kalash is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. The house and surroundings are kept clean daily. Fresh flowers are offered to the Kalash.

The Varamahalakshmi Vratham also falls during the Masa Mahalakshmi Kalash Sthapana period.

The ritual ends with the Visarjan of the Kalasha on the final day.
