Narak Nivaran Chaturdashi is observed on the fourteenth day of the waning phase of moon, or Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi in Magh month as per calendars followed in North India. Narak Nivaran Chaturdashi 2025 date is January 28. The day is of great importance at the Baba Baidyanath Temple at Deoghar in Jharkhand.
Special pujas and rituals are observed on Narak Nivaran Chaturdashi. The prayers are dedicated to Shiva and are offered for attaining moksha and to avoid rebirth. It is believed that prayers offered on the day are highly meritorious and will help in redemption of sins. Thus, it will save devotees from hell or Narak.
