Surya Grahan in January 2011 in India

Surya Grahan, a partial solar eclipse, will take place on January 4, 2011 in northwestern parts of India (Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur). In India, the Grahan will be taking place in Delhi, Jaipur, Dehradun, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Shimla and Srinagar from 2:37 PM to 4:17 PM. The eclipse is not visible in other places in India. The partial eclipse will be visible in DubaiKuwaitQatarOman and other regions in Middle East.
The eclipse will also be visible in most parts of Europe including England. In United Kingdom, the partial eclipse time is from 08:09 hrs to 09:30 hrs.
As per NASA, the partial eclipse will be visible in most parts of Europe, North Africa and Central Asia.

In Delhi the Grahan time is from 15:12 hrs to 15:51 hrs.
Hindu calendars and Panchangs in major part of India have ignored this Surya Grahan and therefore there is no need to follow any rituals or Niyamas. Only those people residing in the Grahan areas need to observe the vrat.
