Information on Website of Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple Trivandrum

The famous Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala, has now got an official website. Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple is one of the 108 shrines in the Divya Desams sacred to Vaishnavas. The idol of Lord Vishnu worshipped
here reclines on Adishesha.

The website has detailed information on the myth, history, architecture, various pujas, timings, pooja rates and temple festivals. As in all Hindu Temple websites, there is an option for online donation.

You can visit the website here - Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple

Note: The temple still follows some age-old traditions and females should compulsorily wear sari – no other dress is permitted. Young girls should wear the traditional Kerala dress of pavadai or should cover bottom with white ‘mundu’. Male Hindus should wear ‘mundu’ or dhoti and should not cover the upper portion of the body. Even children are not spared from this outdated monstrous custom.

If you land up not knowing the temple customs, there is an option to get the traditional clothes on loan at a filthy place adjacent to the temple provided by the temple administration. Enter the place at your risk.
