Pateshwar Shiva Temple complex is located at Degaon near Satara in Maharashtra and there are numerous unique sculptures in the temple. The entire temple complex is filled with numerous rare sculptures. On such sculpture is Shivling atop Nandi.
This particular Shivling has the necessary features of Shivling worship. The only difference is that Shivling is atop a Nandi who seems to be meditating calmly.
Apart from the main Shiva temple with Massive Shivling there are a couple of cave temples, Agnivrush temple, Chamunda temple, Varhadghar temple and many small and medium sized Shiva temples. There are many rare murtis of Mother Goddess, Ganesha and Hanuman. There are also a couple of temple tanks.
