Baba Lal Dayal ji History

Baba Lal Dayal ji was born in 1355 at Kasbe Kasoor on the banks of Beas River. The place is around 53 km from Lahore in Pakistan. His father was Bolamal and mother Krishna Devi.

From a very young age, the boy showed keen interest in Dharmic texts and spirituality. There was an unusual aura in the boy.

Astrologers who saw the Janam Kundali of the boy predicted that he will attain moksha in this birth and will act as a guide to his generation and coming generations.

Babaji once happened to meet a yogi who was cooking food using his feet. In heat produced by his feet was cooking rice. He prostrated before the yogi. The yogi gave the boy three grains of cooked rice to Babaji. After partaking the Prasad, Babaji had an intense calling to know truth. He went in search of a Sadhguru.

He travelled across the land and met several Yogis and Saints. He learned several languages and was an authority on Vedas, Upanishads and Epics.

The boy grew up into a yogi and performed numerous miracles. He guided people in the path of Dharma. He performed intense tapas.

Kayakalp – returning to young age from old age

He performed the Kayakalp – returning to young age from old age – in Gurdaspur District of present day Punjab. This place later came to be known as Dhianpur Dham.

It is believed that Bawa Lal Dayal ji lived for 300 years and every 100 years he took the form of a boy through his yogic powers.

He attained Samadhi in the year 1655 AD at Dhianpur.

People in large numbers visit to offer prayers and have darshan of the samadhi at Shri Dhianpur Dham.

His followers have built several spiritual place across the country and abroad and they are known as Lal Dwar.
