The shrine is small but very well maintained. The architecture of the temple is typical of temples in Tamil Nadu. A compound wall and tall gopuram with beautiful sculptures of murtis on it welcome a devotee.

On entering the temple, we have the darshan of Dwajasthama and Nandi. Then we have the view of the temple open hall. It has beautiful carvings of marriage of Shiva and Parvati and of Hindu deities and incidents from Puranas.

Mother Meenakshi and Sundershwara have separate sanctum sanctorum. The outer walls of both the sanctum have sculptures.

The subsidiary deities worshipped in the temple are Venkateswara, Ganesha, Subrahmanya, Ayyappa and Kala Bhairava. There is a separate beautiful space in the complex dedicated to the Navgrahas.
