The Bhai Dooj festival falling after Diwali is highly
auspicious at the Ratangarh Mata Ka Mandir and Kunwar Maharaj Temple in Datia
in Madhya Pradesh. The twin shrines are around 60 km from Datia and Gwalior. In 2024, Bhai dooj is on November 3.
Kunwar Maharaj is believed to be the brother of Ratangarh
Mata.
Ratangarh Mata Shrine is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is
located deep inside forest on the banks of Sindh River. Kunwar Maharaj Temple is
around 5 km from Ratangarh Mandir.
It is believed that those offering prayers in the shrine will
get relief from poisoning.
