Vithalai Jagar at Khebwade is annually observed in Phagun month. The Jagar is an important ritual at the Vithalai Devi Mandir at Khebwade in Karvir Taluka of Kolhapur District, Maharashtra. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Vithalai, gram devata. Khebwade Vithalai Jagar 2017 date is March 25.
The shrine is decorated with lamps, lights, flowers, leaves and sugarcane for the occasion.
Hundreds of people participate in the unique ritual. The temple remains open during the entire day and different rituals take place. All night vigil is kept on the day.
Vithalai Jagar at Khebwade is observed on Phalgun Krishna Paksha Dwadasi Tithi or the 12th day during the waning phase of moon Phalgun month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
