Sri Mahalakshmi Palki and Yatra at the famous Mumbai
Mahalakshmi Temple is observed on the first day of Chaitra month, Gudi Padwa

Sri Mahalakshmi Temple in Mumbai is dedicated
to Goddess Lakshmi, Kali and Saraswati. This temple located on the northern
side of the Malabar Hills in Mumbai attracts thousands of devotees daily.
The temple is lavishly decorated with lamps, lights,
flowers, leaves and sugarcane for the occasion.
The utsava murtis worshipped in the shrine is taken on
Palkhi on the day.
Various pujas and rituals for a peaceful and progressive year are
held on the day.
