Shiroda Kamakshi Devi Festival and Jatra – Shiroda Kamakshi Temple Annual Festival



Shiroda Kamakshi Devi Festival and Jatra is observed from Magh Krishna Paksha Chaturdasi to Phalgun Shukla Paksha Sashti. It is the annual festival at the Kamakshi Temple at Shiroda in Goa. The most important rituals are observed on Magh Amavasya day. In 2017, Shiroda Kamakshi Devi Festival and Jatra begins on February 25 and ends on March 4, 2017.

Thousands of devotees participate in the weeklong festivities.

The temple is decorated with lamps, lights, flowers and leaves for the occasion.

Laxminarayan Shibikotsava and Kamakshi Shibikotsava will be observed on February 26, 2017.

Rayeshwar Rathotsava and Shri Kamakshi Lalkhi utsava will be observed on the morning and afternoon on February 27.
