Thalassery Jagannatha Temple is a famous shrine located at Thalassery
in Kannur District in Kerala. The 8-day annual festival or utsavam in the temple is
observed in Malayalam Kumbham month. The shrine is located around 4 km from Thalassery
Railway Station. The temple is famous for performing pujas that help in solving marriage problems.

ഒന്നിനാണു പ്രതിഷ്ഠാദിനം. കുംഭത്തിൽ പുണർതം നാൾ മുതൽ 8 ദിവസം നീളുന്ന
ഉൽസവം. സ്കന്ദ സൃഷ്ടി കാർത്തിക മഹോത്സവം പ്രതിഷ്ഠാദിനം ഭാഗവത സപ്താഹ
യജ്ഞം തുടങ്ങിയവ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടാടുന്നു.

here during the festival period.
Special pujas and rituals are held on all days. Hundreds of devotees visit the temple during the period. It is considered highly meritorious to take the blessings of
the deity during the period.
The festival begins on the Punartham day in Kumbham month.
The temple is an initiative of philosopher and reformer Sri Narayana Guru. It was built in 1908 CE. Commemorating his contribution to Kerala society, the premises even features his statue that was created in Italy.
The shrine is dedicated to Mahadeva Shiva.
This is a typical Kerala style temple with a pond, chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam, and a chathura sreekovil.
വിവാഹം പെട്ടെന്ന് നടക്കാനും പിരിഞ്ഞു പോയ പങ്കാളി തിരിച്ചുവരാനും വിശേഷാൽ നടത്തുന്ന ബാണേശി ഹോമം തുടങ്ങി സ്വയം വരപൂജ , ഉമാമഹേശ്വരപൂജ, മഹാഗണപതി ഹവനം, മൃത്യുഞ്ജയ ഹോമം എന്നിവയൊക്കെ ഇവിടെ നടക്കുന്നു.
രാവിലെ അഞ്ചു (5:00 AM) മുതൽ 12 മണി വരെയും വൈകിട്ട് 5 മുതൽ 8.30 വരെയും നട തുറന്നിരിക്കും.
