Santan Dwadasi is observed on the Magh Shukla Paksha
Dwadashi or the twelfth day during the waxing phase of moon in Magh month. It
is performed for having good and healthy children. Santan Dwadasi 2025 date is February 9.
The devotee performing the fast should keep the house neat
and clean. He/She should take early bath.
First prayer is offered to Lord Ganesha and then prayers to
Krishna and Lakshmi.
A fast is observed from sunrise to sunset.
It is considered highly meritorious to perform Annadanam –
food donation to children on the day. Distributing clothes to children is also good.
