Bal Hanuman Temple in Delhi – Bala Hanuman Mandir in Delhi

Bal Hanuman Temple in Delhi is located on Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi near Connaught Place, Jantar Mandir. The temple is believed to have existed during the period of Pandavas when Delhi was known as Indraprastha. The murti worshipped in the Bala Hanuman Mandir is swayambhuhu – not human made but which appeared on its own. The face of murti of Hanuman worshipped in the temple that of a Balak or young child. Thus he is popularly known as Bal Hanuman. The murti faces south and therefore only one eye is seen. Mace is in his left hand. Right hand rests on chest. Kapaleeshwar Temple at Nashik in Maharashtra – A Rare Shiva Temple without Nandi

Kapaleeshwar Temple is located at Ramkund in Nashik in Maharashtra. This is a very rare temple dedicated to Lord Shiva as there is no murti of Nandi facing the Shivling in the temple. Legend has it that Shiva roamed around the earth after cutting off the fifth head of Shiva. He was looking for redemption of sin he commited by cutting the fifth head of Brahma. It is said that at Ramkund, Nandi advised Shiva to have a holy dip in the Godavari River for redemption of sin.   Shiva attained redemption from sin. Pleased with this act, Lord Shiva took Nandi as one of his gurus and so there is no murti of Nandi outside the Kapaleshwar Temple at Ramkund. One has to climb a few steep steps to reach the shrine. Trimbakeshwar Temple History – Story of Trimbakeshwar Temple

Located near the source of Godavari River, Trimbakeshwar Temple is one among the 12 Jyotirling temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The history of Trimbakeshwar Temple is associated with Sage Gautama.
