The Story of Uloopi and Arjuna – Ulupi – the Naga Princess

Uloopi was a Naga Princess and she got married to Arjuna, the third of the Pandava brothers. She was the daughter of the Serpent King, Kauravya, who ruled the underwater kingdom of snakes in the GangaRiver. Ulupi was an expert warrior and she taught the art of warfare to Babruvahan, Arjuna's son by his another wife, Chitrangada. Uloopi brought back Arjuna to life after he was killed by Babruvahan.

Story of Origin of Aditya Hridaya Mantra

Aditya Hridaya Stotram is a hymn dedicated to Surya (Sun God) in Valmiki Ramayana. Aditya Hridaya consists of 31 verses and is found in the 107th chapter of Yuddha Kanda of Ramayan. It was narrated to Sri Ram by Sage Agastya to energize him in the battle against Ravana.
Legend has it that Sri Ram during the course of war against Ravana was overpowered by depression. This dejection proved costly as the demon army began to advance.
Devas (demigods) and saints who were witnessing the battle was puzzled at this sudden disinterestedness on the part of Sri Ram. Sage Agastya realized the seriousness of the situation and taught Sri Ram the Aditya Hridaya Mantra. When Sri Ram chanted this mantra, he was reenergized and resumed the figth with vigor.

Everything in this world is a source of misery – Vishnu Purana

Same thing which at one time brings on anger will become reason for delight at another time.
Nothing in itself is either pleasurable or painful; pleasure, pain and the like merely denominate the various states of mind.
Same thing sometimes gives delight, sometimes pain, sometimes creates jealousy and sometimes anger. Therefore everything in this world is a source of misery.
True wisdom consists only in the knowledge of Brahman.
Vishnu is always pleased with that pure-minded man whose mind is not polluted with anger and other passions.
