Devi Bhagavati Navratri Festival and Yatra at Kotkamte in Devgad Sindhudurg

Kotkamte Devi Bhagavati Navratri and Yatra is observed in Ashwin month. It is the annual fair and festival held during Navratri period at the Devi Bhagavati Temple at Kotkamte in Devgad, Sindhudurg District. Devi Bhagavati Yatra 2024 date is from October 3 to October 12, 2024.

Devi Bhagavati Yatra attracts hundreds of devotees on the occasion. The temple is lavishly decorated during the time. All Navratri rituals are strictly followed here including Ghata Sthapana, Ashtami and Navami.

Music festival, bhajans and reading of stories from Devi Bhagavatam are held here on the occasion.

Kotkamte Devi Bhagavati Temple is dedicated to Mother Goddess Shakti.  Devi Bhagavati, an incarnation of Goddess Shakti, is worshipped in coastal Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala.

Kotkamte Devi Bhagavati Navratri Festival and Yatra is annually held from Ashwin Shukla Paksha Pratipada Tithi to Navami tithi or the first to ninth day of waxing phase of moon in Ashwin month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
