Banashankari Yatra at Banali near Jath in Sangli

Banashankari Yatra at Banali near Jath is organized in Ashwin month. It is the annual yatra to the Banashankari Devi Temple at Banali, which is 12 km north of Jath in Sangli District. The jatra happens during the Navratri period. Banashankari Yatra 2024 date is October 11.

This is an important religious event at Banali and attracts hundreds of devotees including women and children. The temple is lavishly decorated during the period and special rituals are held. Goddess Banashankari is a manifestation of Mother Goddess Durga. The shrine is located inside a forest.
