month. It is the birth anniversary of Shri Pant Maharaj and is of importance at
Balekundri in Belgaum District in Karnataka. Pant Maharaj Balekundri Jayanti

Pant Maharaj was a great saint in the Avadhut Sampradaya or
Shree Datta Sampradaya.
The pious soul was believed to be an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya.
He spread the teachings of Sanatana Dharma through bhajan and
preaching. He had thousands of followers.
The book titled ‘Geetasaar: essence of Sri Bhagavad Gita’ is
credited to him.
Hundreds of devotees participate in the various spiritual
programs and prayer meetings observed on his Jayanti day.
