Baba Maharaj Punyatithi is annually observed in Pune in
Shravan month. It is the death anniversary of the pious soul associated with Swaroop
Sampradaya of Swami Samarth. Maharaj was also known as Shree Raosaheb Sahasrabuddhe alias Shri
Vasudevanand Saraswati Maharaj. Baba Maharaj Punyatithi 2024 date is August 23.
The popular belief is that Baba Maharaj is a manifestation of
Akkalkot Niwasi Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj.
After completing his education, he joined the Public Works
Department. Here he was blessed by Beedkar Maharaj. After meeting the great
saint, Maharaj attained self realization and was always in a state of trance,
detached from the worldly matters.
Soon he left his job and resided in the ashram of Beedkar
Maharaj in Pune.
He continued his mediation and performed numerous miracles
during his stay in Pune.
He attained Samadhi in 1954.
