Gudem Temple in Telangana – Gudem Satyanarayana Swamy Temple

Gudem Temple is located at Gudem Village near the Godavari River in Adilabad District in Telangana. The temple is popularly known as Gudem Satyanarayana Swamy Temple. The shrine is around 40 km from Mancherial town.

Perched atop a scenic hill overlooking the Godavari River, Gudem Temple is popular as Annavaram Devasthanam.


The presiding deity in the temple is Lord Vishnu who is worshipped as Satyanarayana Swamy. He is seen along with His consort Goddess Lakshmi who is known as Rama Devi.

Kartika Masam (October – November) attracts maximum crowd to the shrine. Satyanarayana Swamy Vratam is undertaken for a month by many devotees during the period.

Full moon or purnima day in a month is highly auspicious here. Special pujas and rituals are observed on the day.

Ideal time to visit is from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
