Manu Devi Temple at Adgaon – Manudevi Mandir at Adgaon near Jalgaon in Maharashtra

Located in the Satpuda Ranges in Maharashtra, Manu Devi Temple is a popular shrine dedicated to Goddess Manudevi, a family deity (Kuldevata) of several families in the ergion. Manudevi Mandir is located at Adgaon near Jalgaon in Maharashtra. It is around 30 km north of Jalgaon. The route to the temple is Jalgaon – Idgaon – Dambhurni – Kingaon – Adgaon.


Goddess Manudevi is a manifestation of Mother Goddess Shakti and she appeared in the Satpuda Ranges before Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. She then took numerous forms to annihilate demon Mahishasura.

The temple was discovered in 1251 AD. The shrine is covered by lush green trees.

Couples facing trouble in having children get relief after offering prayers here. People also visit the shrine for having healthy children. The goddess is believed to be a benign mother who fulfills the wishes of her children.

The most important festival in the shrine is on Margashirsh Amavasya day. The other important festival is Navratri.
