Teachings from Srimad Bhagavatam

What is attained in the Satya Yuga by one contemplating on Bhagvan Srihari Vishnu, in Treta by one who propitiates Him through sacrifice and in Dwapara through worship, is attained in the Kali age (merely) by chanting the Name and singing the Praises of Srihari.
Oh even the impious woman, Putana who suckled Baby Sri Krishna at the breast, which was daubed with a most deadly poison, intent on killing Him, got from Him (in return) the destiny appropriate to a foster mother. Is there anyone so Merciful Whom we should resort to for protection other than Him?
For whatever honour the devotee offers to the Almighty Lord, it rebounds upon himself, as the decoration of one’s face is reflected on a mirror.
