Devnath Maharaj was a great saint in the Bhakti tradition of
Maharashtra . His Punyatithi, or death
anniversary, is annually observed in Margashirsh month. Devnath Maharaj
Punyatithi 2024 date is December 13. The day of immense importance at his mutt
at at Anjangaon Surji near Amravati .
Hundreds of devotees arrive here on the day to pay respect
to the pious soul. The 17th century saint is closely associated with
Hindu God Hanuman.

waxing phase of moon in traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra .
