News18 Chhattisgarh reports
In 1985, as a mark of their devotion to the goddess 'Aradhya', four people including the priest of this temple, decided to light up a 'diya' in Maa Danteshwari temple and not let it's flame extinguish come what may, reported Punjab Kesari.
29 years have passed by, and the diya still glows. However, they have not been able to achieve this without the help of others.
The Jagdalpur's revenue department officials and locals have also contributed money to get 'ghee' for keeping the 'diya' glowing.
Seeing the 'diya' glowing for decades, the devotees feel its the blessing of the goddess that she is showering on them. As a result, peoples' devotion and their resolve to keep it glowing for many decades in future has only strengthened.
