Ekadashi May 2014 date – Monthly Fasting for Vishnu in May Month in 2014

Dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu, Ekadashi Vrat is observed on the eleventh day of a fortnight in a Hindu lunar calendar. Ekadashi dates in May 2014 – May 10 and May 24. On Ekadasi, Fasting from sunrise to next day morning sunrise is generally observed by many Hindus. Some observe the fast from the start time of Ekadasi Tithi and break the fast at the beginning of Dwadasi Tithi.

May 10, 2014 Ekadashi fasting is known as Mohini Ekadasi.

The Ekadasi on May 24, 2014 is known as Apara Ekadasi and Acchala Ekadashi. Jalakrida Ekadasi is observed on the day in Orissa. Bhadrakali Ekadasi is observed in Punjab and Jammu on the day.
