Official Government Website for Hindu Temples in Karnataka

The Department of Religious and Charitable Endowments i.e. Muzrai Department in Karnataka has created an official website for Hindu Temples in Karnataka. Apart from providing information on temples in Karnataka, the website aims to provide online puja booking and accommodation. Government believes that this will help devotees in avoiding the long queues during special occasions.

DNA India reports
Chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda, who launched the website on Wednesday, said the site is not only about poojas, devotees can also book accommodation and other services online.
“The state has already released `60 crore for temples, and is committed to release additional funds for the same after the budget. The website will help in providing greater linkages for people,” the CM said.
“For now, six temples are included on the website. In the consecutive stages, we will add more. Kolluru Mukambika temple, Nanjanagud Shiva temple, Mysore Chamundeshwari temple, Male Mahadeshwara and KukkeSubramanya temple are now listed,” he added.
