Ayodhya Parikrama is the circumambulation of important temples
in Ayodhya. The parikramas are held several times a year. One of the important
parikrama is held during the Chaitra month during Ramnavami. In 2024, Ayodhya
Parikrama date is April 17.
Pilgrims begin the journey after taking a holy dip in Sarayu
River. The parikrama begins from the Nageshwarnath temple at Swargadwar Ghat.
The temple is believed to have been built by Kush, son of Sri Ram.
Nageshwarnath Temple is also known as Nageshwar Mahadev Temple.
Ayodhya Parikrama passes through Rama Ghat, Sita Kund, Mani
Parvat, Brahma Kund and ends at Kanak Bhavan.
