Sankashti Chaturti Vrat February 2014 date – Monthly Fasting Dedicated Ganesha in February 2014

Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat is an auspicious day dedicated to Ganesha and it falls on the fourth day after Poornima or full moon day in a traditional Hindu calendar. The February 2014 Sankashti Vrat date is February 18, 2014, Tuesday. Moonrise or Chandrodaya time is at 9:25 PM. As the Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat is on Tuesday it is known as Angarak Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat and is considered highly auspicious.

Chaturthi the fourth day during the lunar fortnight is dedicated to Ganesh. Sankashti Chaturthi Vrata falls during the waning phase of the moon. Fasting, from sunrise to sunset or till sighting of moon, is undertaken by Ganesh devotees.
