Vyas Mahotsav at Varanasi in December 2024

Vyas Mahotsav annually held in Varanasi is dedicated to Sage Vyasa, the author of the Mahabharata. In 2024, the four day Vyas Mahotsav will be held from December 11 coinciding with Gita Jayanti. The festival begins at Ved Vyas Temple at Chanditara in Sahupuri. Series of talks will be held on Ved, Puranas, Mahabharat, Geeta and development of Sanskrit language.  Times of India reports     While the Mahotsav will start with Vyasa puja at the Ved Vyas temple the actual programme will begin next day on Assi Ghat.    In the series of events talks will be held on Ved, Puranas, Mahabharat, Geeta and development of Sanskrit language. Theatre performances on Mahabharat and Vedvyas, Classical dance and music will be performed at Assi Ghat and all the educational workshops will be held in Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth.   A national book fair will be organised in the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University . A play 'Andha Yug' will one of the main features of the programme.
