Ram Janki Marg – The Road from Ayodhya to Janakpur

Ram Sita Marg, also known Ram Janki Marg, is the road that Sri Ram and Mata Sita took after marriage to reach Ayodhya form Janakpur. The road that Baraatis (marriage party) took is now a proper road and thousands of devotees walk through the road enacting the Baraat with devotion. The road passes through the east of Ayodhya. Today the road is from Ayodhya to Badhalganj. The road passes through Katara, Maya, Keshavpur, Ravatam, Sarai, Fooladi, Shakkarpur, Pachvas, Khisva, Chhawani, Poli, Sikriganj and Badhalganj. The Parikrama that is taken through the road during Vivah Panchami in Margashirsh month (December – January) attracts thousands of devotees.

Hari Dwadasi

Hari Dwadasi is an auspicious date dedicated to Sri Vishnu and is observed in the Ashada month in North India . Hari Dwadasi 2024 date is July 18. It is falls on the 12 th day, or Dwadasi day, during the Shukla Paksha, or waxing phase of moon, in Ashada month. The day is of great importance in Jammu and Kashmir . This Dwadashi is highly meritorious and is observed by different names throughout India . It is the first Dwadasi after the Chaturmas Vrata. The previous day is known as Hari Shayani Ekadasi.
