Pradosham is a fasting dedicated to Shiva and Parvati and is observed on the 13th day of each lunar fortnight. Pradosham dates as per Hindu calendar in India

The popular belief is that Shiva and Parvati are in a happy mood during this period and fulfils the wishes of devotees.
