Abhijit Muhurta in Hindu Astrology

Abhijit Muhurta is a highly auspicious period in a day. This Muhurta is not dependent on Tithi, Nakshatra, Rasi or month. There is an Abhijit Muhurta every day – it is around 48 minutes during noon daily. The method in which Abhijita Muhurta is calculated is bit complicated.
Abhijit Muhurta is calculated based on sunrise and sunset. The time period from sunrise to sunset is taken. This is then divided by two. The time that is derived is added to the sunrise to find the beginning of Abhijit Muhurta.
For example if the sunrise is at 5:30 AM and sunset is at 6:10 PM. Then the total time is 12 hrs and 40 minutes. This is then divided by 2. It gives 6 hrs and 20 mins. Adding this gives the Muhurta. In this case Abhijit Muhurta begins at 11:50 AM to 12:38 PM.
Abhijit Muhurta is ideal for all auspicious beginnings.
