Tithi in Hindu Calendar on January 23, 2011 – Today is Krishna Paksha Chaturthi – the 4th day of waning phase / dark phase of moon in Hindu calendar and Panchang in all places. Chaturthi Tithi till 1445 hrs (2:45 PM) on January 23. Then onwards it is Panchami Tithi. All time based on India Standard Time.

Paush Krishna Paksha Chaturthi or 4th day of waning phase of moon in Poush month in calendars followed in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat .
Magh Krishna Paksha Chaturthi or 4th day of waning phase of moon in Magha month in calendars followed in Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Jammu and Kashmir.
Rashi or Moon Sign – Simha Rashi for some period. Then onward it is Kanya Rashi.
Nakshatra – Purva Phalguni or Pooram Nakshatram till 1415 hrs (02:15 PM). Then onwards it is Uttara Phalguni or Uttram Nakshatra.
9th day of Thai Masam in Tamil Calendar followed in Tamil Nadu.
9th day of Makara Masam in Malayalam Calendar in Kerala.
8th day of Magh month in Bengali Calendar.
