Karva Chauth 2011 date – Karva Chouth Vrat and Fasting in 2011

Karva Chauth 2011 as per Hindu calendar - India Standard Time. Karva chauth 2011 date is October 15. Karva Chauth is an annual fasting undertaken by women in North India on the fourth day of Kartik Month, as per North Indian Hindu lunar calendar. Karva Chauth Vrat (also known as Kadva Choth) is observed by women for a happy and prosperous married life and for the well being of the husband and is one of the most popular fast and ritual in North India.  Karva chauth is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is believed that Goddess Parvathi had observed severe penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband.

Tuljapur Bhavani Temple Festival on Ashwin Purnima – Sri Bhavani Devi Utsav Tulja Bhavani Temple

One of the most important festivals at the Tuljapur Bhavani is held on the Purnima or full moon day in Ashwin month. Sri Bhavani Devi Utsav 2017 date is October 5. Tulja Bhavani is family deity of Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj and also of thousands of families in Maharashtra and other states.

 Tulja Bhavani is the manifestation of Goddess Shakti – who is worshipped as Ambabai, Jagadamba, Tukai,  Bhagwati and Durga in western parts of India. TuljaBhavaniTemple is also one of the Shaktipeetahs.

Sri Bhavani Devi Utsav is held after the annual Navratri Festival (September – October). Thousands of devotees arrive on the day at the temple to pay respects to the Goddess, who is also the Family Deity (Kuldaivat) of millions of homes in India.
